Chryseia is our finest expression of the Douro Valley terroir. Made with great care and attention to detail at our winery at Quinta de Roriz, Chryseia represents our two families' commitment to producing the most elegant wine from two hallmark Douro grapes: Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca.
The year An exceptionally dry year overall, the success of 2011 in-part relied on the abundant rainfall of late 2010 – and the resulting water reserves. Timely rainfall in late August was instrumental in the final ripening stage.
The wine The 2011 is characterised by rich, fruity aromas of black cherries and dark plum, velvety tannins, and a long, lingering finish.
